Hello,

I have a rotating red police-car-like 110VAC light that I'd like to trigger based on whether a certain computer at home is pingable or not

 (to keep an eye on the home network in a supremely nerdy fashion). I never really got into the whole X10 thing before, but I'm 

assuming that these still work well enough with current Macs, based on a cursory 5 minute Google search.

However, I thought I'd also put up a request for people to chime in with their X10 or similar home automation tales for the Mac,

 assuming there are any. Anyone?

Any help will be apprecited.
